The past two days since my last post have been resting in Punta Iguazu then flying back to Buenos Aires yesterday.
Today was a fun day exploring the city a little bit more. We went to the Botanical Garden but it was closed we think because of the severe storms yesterday. We walked the perimeter fence and was able to see quite a bit of it. It’s a beautiful garden of primarily trees in the heart of BA. After that minor disappointment we then walked about two miles to the Cemetario and it was really spectacular. All of the greaves are above ground but not so much New Orleans style but really elaborate. Dee and I were talking that she took a few pictures of Iguazu Falls and a lot at the cemetery. We kept saying how much fun our friend Jim Ricket would have taking pictures at different angles, getting different lighting, looking inside through cobwebs and etc.
While at Iguazu Dee got a blister and I put Compeed on it for healing and it has felt good since…until late today after walking in different shoes. Coming up the elevator to our room she took her shoes off. I told her 40 years ago she would be taking off clothes heading to our room and at 65 she is taking off shoes. How things change.
Here are some cemetario photos:
Tomorrow we fly to Montevideo, Uraguay and drive to our VRBO in Punta de Este (point of the east).
Here’s the weather forecast for Punta del Este for the coming week.
