I have been walking 30 days now and have gone about 420 miles. We were talking at lunch about how the town, miles, beds, everything seems to all meld together such that when someone asks about a certain town we can’t remember. It’s really been a blur.
The weather has broken so that when we arrived in Portomarin it was in the upper 70’S. Going to sleep last night was horrible. We had two windows open front and back but no breeze. By morning it was cooler but we both commented on the light wind was very warm.
I forgot to mention in yesterday’s blog that two days ago I thought that I was losing Rick. His foot looked so bad he was concerned. He sent pictures and text to ahis doctor and doctor said to continue on but identified two antibiotics. After he wakes and shower he’s going to farmacia to try to get one.
Part Way through the walk today we passed the 100km marker. We are now 58 miles to finish.
At Sarria where we passed through yesterday a person can start the camino to get full credit for walking. To say the least the volume of pilgrims has increased very significantly.
That’s all I have today. My big plans this evening are to try to find a store with flip flops. I lost mine somewhere yesterday and I have to get out of shoes everyday as my foot is so sore by this time daily.
Buen camino
